And Twenty-Twenty Two Is a Wrap?
"When you are time-conscious, you are success-conscious."

This year has been running, running as fast as it could with its swift limbs and no one seem to even catch its glimpse. For the past 361 days it has been consistent, in its running, running to a nearby destination. Or should I use the verb - "flying - in the stead of running.?
Or - fleeing?
Wait. Was it not like yesterday when we merried and raised our glasses and drummed our laughter in the rapture of stepping our toes into a brand-new year christened " 2022" successfully?
And rants of "Happy new year" filled WhatsApp statuses and instagram posts?
To me, It seems like the angels in charge of time have shortened the duration of the twelve months of a whole year into twelve weeks. Now, I think I believe and agree with that smart fellow who composed the popular words - "how time flies (flees)!".
Or am I alone on the landscape of this feeling? Who else notices the running of time?

This year has been a rollercoaster, a road with uphills and downhills, a mixture of different, different, different things. A spectrum of colours.
It was in this year that the (egoistic) FG and (almighty) ASUU had many internal wars which kept the great Nigerian students in the company of their families at home. Federal campuses were locked and throughout the stint of eight months the educational sector of the country seemed to be frozen. It looked like a "play" in the first place but the Nigerian students were shocked, and still shocked as the supposed "playlet" turned into a long boring season film.
We thank God for his intervention as all campuses were opened at last. Though the scores weren't settled all through.
For the Nigerian entertainment industry, it's a flourishing year. With the production of some big movie projects like Anikulapo, Elesin Ọba, Blood Sisters, Ageshinkole et cetera which shook the whole country and took away many breaths. Projects which topped charts globally, which are kings of box office etc. We can affirm it's a generous year. And this amazing hip-hop artiste - Asake signed by YBNL - whose music lit our moods and "ginger" us with those scintillating lyrics and all - began shining this year. And other great & amazing stuffs.
Personally, I hope and believe thousands of Nigerian students made and did worthwhile things in the space of eight months of the educational sector's death. As a matter of fact, the strike was a blessing in disguise to many because, obviously, they were able to have quality time for their various businesses and brands, made money, acquired high-benefiting skills, grew, evolved, metamorphed and had more time for sleep (as it is for some👀). I feel all is not a waste, afterall.
Yay! It's a very happy year for all football fans all over the globe as the long-awaited FIFA World Cup tournament begun in vogue style as hosted by one of the wealthiest and most beautiful country in the world - Qatar. From November 20th to December 18th, the whole universe and its inhabitants seemed to pause, and fixated their attentions to the tournament.
It was an exhilarating moment alive with emotions, support, bants, national love, tension, and surprises no one actually saw coming as Morocco made the African continent proud by conjuring miracles - reaching the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup.
And at the grand-finale of everything, although rough and tough and tight, the crown was placed on the King's head who deserves it.
It's a good year for me too. My craft was sharpened, I was invited to more literary events, I met amazing, like-minded people, I grew, I evolved.

PS : Time is running and seasons are changing fast. Ages are advancing and opportunities are abounding. The pages of days are flipping. The years are burning out. In final of everything, the testimony belongs to those who made judicious use of their time. Be wise!
Happy holiday, compliments of the season and happy new year in advance!
